*With portraits taken between New York City and South Korea, the series was inspired by her experience shopping for her own son and daughter and the products she found available, often marked and marketed by a strong gender divide.

Now in their second season in New York, Thea Bregazzi and Justin Thornton settled on a pair of very American inspirations for their Fall collection: Kurt Cobain's grunge and the Adrian Lyne romp 9 1/2 Weeks. The two may seem strange bedfellows, but the London-based duo made a connection in—wait for it—gentlemen's dressing gowns. The Nirvana frontman, it turns out, occasionally wore a robe onstage, and Kim Basinger's character borrowed her lover Mickey Rourke's too-big-for-her overcoat.






*Makeup artist James Kaliardos and hairstylist Laurent Philippon brought the sexy-sloppy look to life with lipstick-smudged pouts and a slept-in mass of disheveled waves.

GAR-DE is a New York design collective united by a desire to reinvent the highest quality materials into innovative designs. GAR-DE will seasonally collaborate with artisans from around the world to create a collection which will refresh traditional elements of fabrication and construction. The intent is to create a brand that is subversive and considered; conceptually grounded with a sense of humor.

This brand will introduce a new product category and fabrication each season while continuing to build on past seasons. The long-term strategy is to progressively build a complete men’s and women’s collection that is innovative and wearable, appealing to those who appreciate workmanship and distinctive design.

Last time I posted about dogs style and the incredible variety of unusual designs specially created to enhace their and their owners glamour. Now I 've founded this crazy but talented woman who makes every kind of costumes for cats by hand.

Cat Prin: The Tailor of a Cat. It’s a Japanese web-store that sells the most ridiculously adorable cat outfits with names like “Frog Transformation Set,” “Young Lady Blouse,” and “Shawl of a Rabbit.” The site has tons of photos of two little Scottish Folds wearing all these funny getups and staring right at you with dazed expressions. It’s one of those wacky websites that gets emailed around a lot, often with a subject heading like “omg, sooooo cute!” In fact, the girl who does The Cute Show for VBS.TV says that she gets it forwarded to her at least once a day.
